Charge Up Campaign is a nonprofit organization that aims to educate, empower, and support individuals and families affected by cancer. Charge Up Campaign exists to empower and support cancer warriors and caregivers by providing mental health resources and tools to help them overcome the emotional challenges of cancer and its treatment.
Every day we lead the charge to expand our reach across the United States to restore happiness, a smile and hope to families impacted.
THE ATLANTA VOICE
When LaKeitha Rousseau, an oncology nurse at City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta, went in for her first mammogram at 37 in 2015, she was asymptomatic with no family history of breast cancer. At the time, the recommended screening age was 45, but a gut instinct, likely born out of her daily work with cancer patients, pushed Rousseau to ask her doctor for an exam.
